Introduction. The study presents pressing questions of the promotion of the artistic product in the circumstances of nowadays and describes the problems of the balance of the art criteria of the musician-performer and requirements of the market society. There is not an only one possible pattern, because the context (audience, fashion, market) plays a substantial role.

Relevance of the study. The article offers some ways for the development of the modern realities of the art environment, first of all – in music. Purpose of the study: to give recommendations, based on the supervision of practise and development of the genre, alternate to traditional concert. This could be a multidisciplinary concert, which is a creative event, the main artistic message of which is a musical performance with the verbal comments, interaction with spectators, the multimedia of different types: from visual art (video, slide-show, multimedia scenography) to the sand animation. One of the subspecies of multidisciplinary concert is a multimedia concert. An advantage of such a concert is the spectator’s maximum immersing to the atmosphere of the event.

The methology, used in the study, combines empirical and theoretical methods, based on performing and teaching practice and scholar study of the topic. This kind of approach gives the most full and deep overview of the subject.

Results: the observation made during the study establishes some new forms of a musical performance, which point differently to the classical music world. The over-loaded market of the performing art demands a big creativity of musician.

Conclusions: the summary of the observation shows some possibilities for the management of the music production. This is still relevant information for the classical music sphere, especially for the period of the musical education. The value of results is defined by their practical importance.

Introduction. In view of the actively-developing informatization, the main objective is to provide the society with complete and objective information through the Internet. Providing users with a broad, including remote, access to archival information plays a special part in this context. Discovering the current state of this issue will contribute to determining the implementation of the main tasks of the informatization by the archive facilities.
The informatization of archives is a research question in the studies of national historians, source scholars, archivists, specialists in information, such as G. Boriak, M. Vasylchenko, O. Haranin, L. Dubrovina, A. Kyseliova, N. Korzhyk, N. Kuzovova, T. Kuprunets, N. Menkivska, K. Novokhatskyi, L. Yudina et al.
Topicality and Objective. The study of the issue on providing users with an access to archival information will help to understand the opportunities, the role of archives in the implementation of the disclosure of archival resources for distant user service. The purpose of the article is to study the activities of the state archive facilities in the South of Ukraine on providing access to archival information in the present-day conditions.
Methods. In the course of the study, the following methods were applied: scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization, and webometric method of analysis of the websites of the regional state archive facilities in the South of Ukraine.
Results. The authors seek to determine the main directions of activity of the regional state archive facilities in the South of Ukraine relating to the informatization of archives. The main types of new electronic resources of the archive facilities are: websites with new content, electronic guides, electronic case descriptions, on-line exhibitions of archival documents, publications on the site (on the basis of archival files), online newsletters, electronic copies of some of the most valuable documents in the sections «Pages of History», document digitization projects (Project «Metrics»), etc.
Conclusion. As a result, the study determines modern approaches to the work of the archive facilities in the South of Ukraine in the context of providing access to archival information with the use of information and computer technologies. A positive trend of increasing role of the archives in the society is clearly in evidence: in helping to protect the socio-economic rights through requests to archival institutions, in organizing research work in reading halls of the archive facilities, in increasing the volumes of archival electronic resources for better provision of various groups of users with archival information. It promotes the popularization of historical and cultural heritage of the region, and the formation of a national consciousness of Ukrainian citizens. Looking ahead, the study of new approaches to the arrangement of unrestricted access for real and potential users to archival information seems possible.

Introduction. In the modern era of information and civil society, social issues are widely articulated in the media discourse. The media faced the need for a rethinking of social narrative, the formation of social competence of the public.
Significance and purpose. The significance of the topic is connected to information gap in the Ukrainian academic science in the segment of social issues in online editions. The purpose of the article is to determine the specifics and trends of coverage of social issues in the Internet media «Ukrainska Pravda» and «20 Khvylyn» during 2014-2015.
Research methods. The methodological basis involves the use of methods of comparative analysis, synthesis; induction and deduction, content analysis, monitoring.
Results. Findings of the current study ascertain that social discourse in online editions «Ukrainska Pravda» and «20 Khvylyn» is mostly actualized in 2015. The leading problem-thematic vectors of materials with social content are outlined. The following tendencies of coverage of social problems are traced: the usage of social problems to strengthen the position of a politician; the attitude to the heroes of the material as to the victims; tendencies of labeling people; stigmatization of socially disadvantaged groups of the citizens; mythologization of the topics; constructing of pessimistic scenarios, dramatizing the events; population «bullying» with a detailed description of anti-social acts. Journalistic materials of social orientation are provided in the hard news stories, interpretive, analytical, and investigative genres. The majority of the massive information flows of the social issues of online publications are texts presented by hard news and investigative genres.
Conclusions. Having analyzed the media textes in 2014 and 2015, we have delineated a tendency of increasing the number of materials on social topics in 2015. The accentuation of resources to cover social content determines a wide thematic range of materials: employment of socially disadvantaged groups of the population; their socialization; the regulation of legal relations in the society; benefits and social benefits for forced migrants, low-income families, orphans, disabled people; rehabilitation of forced migrants, disabled people; granting the status of a migrant, a disabled person, etc. Social issues are actualized in such genre forms as analytical and problematic articles, correspondence, commentary, shorts, report, interview, review articles.
Prospective for further research is the tracking of the reader’s reaction to materials with social content.

  • The purpose of the research is to determine the specificity of the media coverage of the European integration processes in Ukraine by the newspaper «The New York Times». The relevance of the research acknowledges the necessity to adjust the directions of the information and analytical support of Ukraine’s European integration processes at the external level. A thorough analysis of the trends in the process of presentation of the country’s communication arena in the international media is a top priority for both Ukrainian scholars and governmental institutions. The proposed study features an attempt to summarize the specificity of the coverage of Ukrainian events in 2013-2018 by one of the most influential global media – the newspaper “The New York Times” and its online version in particular. The image, formed by the analyzed resource, is impactful both at the global and national levels, which is based upon the citation and influence of nyt.com. The separation and review of each component of this image contributes to a better understanding of the geopolitical processes related to Ukrainian matters. The results demonstrate a significant shift towards the increase in a number of publications and the coverage level of Ukrainian issues after the US elections in 2016.

Вступ. 2014 р.
У ході проведення дослідження з’ясовано, що «The New York Times» протягом 2013–2018 рр. змінила вектор висвітлення українських подій зі стримано-позитивного на відверто-критичний, що віддзеркалює ставлення офіційного Вашингтонa до України.

  • The article deals with the psycholinguistic analysis of the associative field of the word-stimulus INTERNET obtained as a result of conducting a free associative experiment during 2011-2012. The content of the associative field is analyzed, the place of the word-stimulus is established among other words-stimuli of advertising vocabulary in the language picture of the world of Ukrainians. Thus, in the associative field of the word-stimulus INTERNET distinguished six main semantic spheres, the reactions of which have a common semantic connections. The largest spheres were «activity» and «emotional (connotative)».
The application of the technique of a free associative experiment reveals the dynamics of change, occurring in the linguistic consciousness.

Introduction. The study of linguistic consciousness and the meaning of words through associative experiments is an effective and priority in linguistics, since it reveals the tendency of change, ethnocultural specificity and actual concepts in the language picture of the world of native speakers. These associative experiments allow us to study how the media affects people’s minds, changing their picture of the world.
The purpose of the article: to carry out a psycholinguistic analysis of the associative field of the word-stimulus INTERNET to identify the semantic spheres and actual concepts that are part of the associative field and reflect the fragment of the language picture of the world of Ukrainians.
Research methods: The free associative experiment was conducted during 2011-2012. In the experiment 732 people, aged from 17 to 47 years old from different regions of Ukraine are involved. The survey questionnaire contained 105 words-stimuli of advertising vocabulary among which was the stimulus INTERNET. Respondents had to write on the questionnaire the first word, which fell into their minds after the sound of the word-stimulus.
In our study, the reactions that have a common semantic connection in the associative field are combined into semantic spheres. The semantic spheres of the associative field reflect
the specifics of the use of these words and the one in which the word is surrounded by the language, its semantic valency.
In the associative field of the word-stimulus INTERNET there were reactions that we attributed to the activity and emotional semantic sphere. Internet as a reaction occurs in 31 associative fields of vocabulary of words-stimuli (among 105 presented). For example, the Internet reaction appears on the word-stimulus SITE 146 times, and on the stimulus INFORMATION – 133 times. All reactions of the semantic spheres that are part of the associative field make it possible to reconstruct complex of mental formations that become
visible through words as the main linguistic signs that help to obtain information from the depths of consciousness.
The prospect of the study is seen in a subsequent psycholinguistic analysis of the associative fields of advertising vocabulary. Repeated holding of a free associative experiment with a
word-stimulus INTERNET will show new topical concepts associated with this stimulus.

Introduction. Nowadays, advertising with its powerful digital opportunities is among urgent research topics in social communication, and, therefore, viewpoints on it are more than ambiguous. Still, one of the urgent issues is the use of ethical basis in digital advertising.
Relevance and aim. Modern trends of information society development require constant research dynamics of social and communication processes. Hybridization of Internet genre studies is developing, and, therefore, all communication platforms without exception are changing. Internet advertising is believed one of them. The article aim is to study digital advertising as a conceptual phenomenon and ethical principles of its application in Ukrainian Internet space.
The important methods of scientific research are the analysis of scientific literature and systematization of knowledge of the issue; the method of comparison, which has become the basis of the general judgment as to the relevance of research object; scientific cognition, which has allowed to draw conclusions about the studied material; method of sociological survey, which has given the basis to analyze the views of Ukrainians on advertising ethics.
Results. Such type of communication as digital advertising is able to represent simultaneously not only the text of an advertising message, but also the interactive visualization of an implemented high-quality dynamic object, which is already in digital format on an information carrier of each user. The rapid development of digital advertising as a genre multimedia unit depends directly on the settings of the digital environment.
Conclusions. Digital advertising should be considered as a separate Internet genre. It is becoming not just a full-fledged genre now, but it is transforming into an independent form of communication, which ethical aspects of implementation is a research issue. The following principles will resolve the ethical issues in advertising: publication in popular communities; promotion using the built-in advertising system of a social network; compliance with global regulations and principles; not to use unauthorized texts; development and implementation of own advertising code by Ukrainian advertisers .

  • The aim of the research is to find how Ukrainian digital media contribute to a diffusion of Ukrainian scientific innovations (taking medical innovations as an example). The potential of contribution is studied through textual representations of five diffusion factors defined by E. Rogers: observability, relative advantage, compatibility, complexity or simplicity, and trialability. It was found that a potential contribution Ukrainian digital media can make to diffusion of medical innovations is generally low. The most exhaustive coverage of these factors was found in original publications with the indicated authorship (30 % of a sample). Other 70 % of publications which were plagiarized (copy pasted or rewritten), as a rule, covered less factors and contained distortions of a primary source information.

Introduction. Accessability and new technologies make mass media an important mean of informing audiences about scientific and technological innovations.
Relevance and purpose. The aim of the research is to find how Ukrainian digital media contribute to a diffusion of Ukrainian scientific innovations (taking medical innovations as an example).
Methods. A theoretical framework for the research is diffusion of innovations theory. The potential contribution digital media can make to diffusion is studied through textual representations of 5 diffusion factors defined by E. Rogers: observability, relative advantage, compatibility, complexity or simplicity, and trialability. These are intrinsic characteristics of innovation though mass media can expose information about them to publics. Content analysis was used for counting the frequency of coverage of different innovations and the frequency of different kinds of 5 factors’ explication.
Results. Among medical innovations, Ukrainian digital media cover cancer remedies most frequently (61 % of the sample). Innovative wound closure materials are presented in 1% of publications, surgery technologies – 0,09 %, diabetes treatment – 0,05 %, innovations in cardiology – 0,04 %.
Among five diffusion factors observability was the most accomplished one. Informative visual illustrations (photos, videos, infographics) appeared in 65 % of publications. The rest of publications contained either non-informative visuals (21 %) or no visuals at all (13 %). Relative advantage was also quite covered: 42 % of publications have explicit and clear statements about relative advantage, 26 % have unclear statement, and 32% do not define relative advantage. Compatibility in health care is linked with indications and contraindications. In large scale, Ukrainian media agenda inadequately represents Ukrainian problems in health care. Though, the highest level of disease mortality is of blood system diseases, only 0,04 % of media publications covers innovations in cardiology. As for complexity / simplicity, clear and accurate explanations were common for original publications with clear authorship (30 %). On the contrary, plagiarized anonymous publications typically contained lots of distortions of primary sources’ information. Trialability was the less accomplished factor. None of publications contained information for those who want to try an innovation except (but not always) the names of institutions where innovation was created.
Conclusions. A potential contribution Ukrainian digital media can make to diffusion of medical innovations is generally low. The reasons are plagiarism and pure quality of texts. The majority of reporting about innovations is represented by anonymous rewritten texts with numerous distortions and mistakes.

Introduction. The profession of a journalist requires active development of professional skills while studying at the university. A modern journalist should have the skills of an editor, template designer, photographer, operator and advertiser. The publication of a student newspaper may help to master the basics of such knowledge.
The relevance of the study. Modern university journalistic education in Ukraine lacks practical training. The publication of a student newspaper creates the conditions that are as close as possible to the media activity and allows for the formation of initial practical skills.
The purpose of the study is to identify the skills that the publication of a student newspaper forms, to summarize the methodology and technology of this process.
Methodology. The study was conducted in two stages. At the first stage (September 2017 – June 2018) the conditions and features of work on the student newspaper were identified by the method of observation.
