Анотація

Метою статті є дослідження діяльності публічних бібліотек Півдня України з екологічної просвіти. Автор визначає основні напрями та форми роботи публічних бібліотек, їх проектну діяльність. У ході дослідження доводиться, що екологічна просвіта представляє перспективний напрям культурно-просвітницької діяльності, що пов’язаний зі змінами соціокультурного середовища сучасності. Визначені тенденції екологічного формату культурно-просвітницької діяльності у XXI ст. Використання досвіду публічних бібліотек південного регіону України дозволить удосконалити культурно-просвітницьку роботу в напрямі екологічної просвіти в інших регіонах України. Усвідомлення значимості такого досвіду сприятиме підвищенню ролі публічної бібліотеки в системі соціальних комунікацій суспільства.
