Abstract

This article focuses on the Ukrainian social and political activist, journalist and writer Vasyl Vasylovych Andriyevskyi and his previously unpublished essay ‘Bez kolii’ (‘Off the Beaten Track’), which was written in the 1920s in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (from 1929 – the Kingdom of Yugoslavia). During his time in exile, V. Andriyevskyi signed his literary works under the pseudonym Vasyl Nekrashevych (V. Nekrashevych), his journalistic pieces under the pseudo­nym V. Ans’kyi, and used the cryptonyms A. and V. A.
