Abstract

Introduction. Scientific literature does not contain any researches on radio programs in the languages of national minorities in Ukraine. A systemic review of their role in ensuring the national security of the state in terms of technological progress is needed.
The topicality of this scientific investigation is determined by the need to understand the role of modern competitive Ukrainian radio in ensuring the national security of the country.
The purpose of the study. In order to investigate the presence of radio programs in the languages of national minorities in the information space of Ukraine 128 radio stations (national, regional / local, public, Internet) and 160 audio streams were monitored. It is
revealed that certain programs are created in the Belarusian, Crimean Tatar, Polish, Russian, Romanian, Hungarian languages.
Methodology. The author used methods of monitoring, analysis and generalization of scientific specialized literature, media content of the Internet, in particular the sites of modern Ukrainian-language radio stations, as well as methods of systematization, induction, descriptive and analytical methods.
Results. It has been found out that the decline of the sector in the border regions results from the replacement of content by radio stations of the neighboring states. This does not contribute to countering the myths generated by hostile propaganda. One of the ways to improve the situation will be the creation of a full-featured multicultural radio station, whose activities will promote cultural understanding and carry out an educational function within the state.
Conclusions. The study offers the first comprehensive analysis of the sector of radio programs in the languages of national minorities in the context of the media environment transformation under the influence of convergent processes. In the future, the results of the
research may become the basis for developing a model for increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian radio in the world.
